Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of this Center Grove High School Science National Honor Society chapter website. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

These terms apply only to the website. Participation in school or chapter activities remains subject to official school, district, event, safety, permission, and conduct requirements.

The site shares the work of the Science NHS chapter at Center Grove High School. It is maintained as a chapter information site. If site content conflicts with an official school or district announcement, calendar, policy, or safety direction, the official source controls.

References to Center Grove, Science National Honor Society, community partners, or third-party organizations identify the chapter and its activities. They do not imply endorsement of unrelated products, services, statements, or linked websites.

You may use the site for lawful, personal, educational, and informational purposes. You may not:

• attempt to disrupt, overload, bypass, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site;
• introduce malicious code or use automated tools in a way that harms availability;
• misrepresent affiliation with the chapter, school, district, or another person;
• use site content to harass, identify, profile, or endanger a student or community participant;
• remove ownership notices or use names, logos, or photographs in a misleading way; or
• use the site or its content in violation of law or applicable school policy.

Text, layout, graphics, photographs, logos, and other materials may be owned by the chapter, school, district, student or community contributors, photographers, or other licensors. All rights remain with their respective owners.

You may link to public pages and use brief excerpts for noncommercial, educational purposes with clear attribution when the law permits. No other license is granted. Do not reuse a student or event photograph, school mark, or chapter logo without permission from the appropriate rights holder.

If you believe content infringes a right you own, email the advisor with the page URL, a description of the work, your contact details, and the basis for your request.

Event dates, locations, availability, activities, and descriptions may change or contain an error. Confirm time-sensitive information through official school or chapter communications before relying on it or traveling to an event.

Event stories and photographs describe supervised chapter activities; they are not experiment instructions, safety training, medical guidance, or an invitation to recreate an activity without qualified adult supervision. Follow current instructions from teachers, event staff, guardians, manufacturers, and safety data sheets.

Site content is general information and is not legal, tax, medical, or professional advice.

Do not use the site to solicit information from students or identify younger community participants. Children under 13 should not send personal information through an email link without a parent or guardian.

A person shown in a photograph, or that person’s parent or guardian, may request review or removal by identifying the page and image in an email to amilligan@centergrove.k12.in.us. A request will be evaluated in light of applicable permissions, school policy, and legal obligations.

Links to school, district, email, hosting, partner, or other third-party services are provided for convenience. The chapter does not control their content, availability, security, accessibility, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service’s own terms and policies.

The site does not currently accept or process donations. Do not email cash details, payment-card information, bank information, or other sensitive financial data.

If giving is activated later, the support page will identify the school-approved recipient and payment provider and will present any additional payment, refund, donor-privacy, and receipt terms before a transaction. The site makes no current representation that a future payment will be tax deductible. Donors should rely on the official receipt and consult their own tax advisor.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or uninterrupted operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the chapter and the site’s maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or a linked service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a responsibility that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

Site access or content may be changed, suspended, or removed at any time. These terms may also be revised. Continued use after revised terms are posted means the revised terms apply from their stated effective date.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent allowed by law. These terms do not modify any official school or district policy.
