Why we did it
To represent Science NHS at a community event, connect with families, and show that science outreach can be friendly, interactive, and student-led.
What participants did
Members set up a table, welcomed visitors, shared information about the chapter, and offered simple activities or conversations that helped families engage with science in a casual setting.
In the room
Each activity connected a visible, hands-on task to the scientific thinking behind it.
Public outreach
Members greeted visitors, answered questions, and shared what Science NHS does throughout the year.

For Earth Day in the 2025–2026 school year, members of the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) mobilized into teams for a focused, member-led cleanup to beautify the Center Grove campus. Volunteers fanned out across the grounds to pick up litter and clear debris from high-traffic and athletic areas, including the tennis courts, football practice fields, parking lots, baseball fields, and the entire outer perimeter of the school.
